Mitchell Joins BankChampaign’s Board of Directors (1/22/08)
Albert L. Mitchell, CPA joined BankChampaign’s Board of Directors on January 1. For 23 of his 24 years with Clifton Gunderson LLP, he served as Partner-in-Charge for the Champaign office. Mitchell is also a 13-year member of the firm’s board of directors and served a one-year term as chair of the board.
His areas of specialization include business valuations and analysis of financial statements, as well as structuring the purchase and sale of business entities. He received Clifton Gunderson’s Outstanding Partner Performance Award in 1994.
Mitchell currently serves as vice president and treasurer on the board of Kurland Steel in Urbana. A native of Mattoon, he resides in Champaign.
BankChampaign Adds VP of Wealth Management (1/19/07)
L. John Clausen has joined BankChampaign, NA as Vice President of Wealth Management. His responsibilities include administration of trust and asset management accounts, overseeing wealth management staff in the trust and brokerage departments and developing financial planning instruments in the wealth management area.
He has been a practicing attorney for the past five years, most recently with the law firm of Rawles, O’Bryne, Stanko, Kepley & Jefferson in Champaign. Clausen earned his law degree from Valparaiso University and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
A third generation resident of Champaign, he is active in Champaign West Rotary and the Talks Mentoring program, as well as a member of the Champaign County Forest Preserve Foundation Board.
Ballard Promoted at BankChampaign (1/8/07)
Mark Ballard has been named Executive Vice President at BankChampaign, NA. He is responsible for retail sales, including retail banking, mortgage origination, trust and investments. A Champaign resident, Ballard has been with the bank since 1991.
He was previously Senior Vice President with responsibility for operations of the trust, retail, marketing and human resources departments. Ballard is a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He holds a master’s degree in accounting from Illinois State University and a bachelor’s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University.
Richardson Promoted at BankChampaign (12/28/06)
Linda Richardson has been named Executive Vice President at BankChampaign, NA. She is responsible for commercial banking, including commercial lending, bank operations and administration. Richardson has been with the bank since 1996.
She was previously Senior Vice President and Cashier. A Certified Public Accountant, Richardson holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Eastern Illinois University. She was previously employed at the Comptroller of the Currency in Champaign.
